Our Mission

Intermountain Search Dogs’ Mission is twofold:

1. To provide teams - handler and dog - to participate in search and rescue operations for municipalities and governmental agencies;

2. To provide public education regarding volunteer search and rescue services.

Our Services

Intermountain Search Dogs is committed to providing law enforcement with trained search dogs and handlers. Whether the missing person is a lost hunter, a person with Alzheimer’s Disease, or a missing child, we are ready to respond 24/7. Our dog teams are qualified in Air scent, Trailing and Human Remains Detection. We respond to lost or missing person searches when requested by law enforcement.

Intermountain Search Dogs is a member of the Spokane County Search and Rescue Council: http://www.spokanecounty.org/emergencymgmt/search.htm

ISD is committed to educating the community about outdoor safety as well as search and rescue activities. We participate in events at local fairs and visit scout troops and schools. Contact ISD if you are interested in having us give a presentation to your organization, troop or school. Donations are gratefully accepted.
